Simple affair. Order at one counter, receive your food at the other. Speedy service. Everything I ordered (1/4 Dark Meat chicken + plantains & mixed rice and beans) was perfect. Food is fresh and hot. Tasty. A real touch of charcoal on the chicken. The sauces provided were amazing but I neglected to ask what they were called. Simple dining area with no fuss. Felt homey without trying. 10/10 would eat again, and I will. If you’re in Pensacola, don’t miss the chance to eat here.
It’s hard for me to share this review because I absolutely love this place, however, the cost has gotten out of hand in my opinion. I remember before Covid just a few years back, you could get 1/4 chicken combo for around 8 dollars, now it is almost double that. I understand things happening like Covid and bird flu, but that was years ago now. If the company wanted to lower their prices back they would, but no companies usually do that. So unfortunately instead of this being my go-to lunch spot, I can only get it once in a blue moon due to the price:/
This is one of our favorite local spots to eat. Their chicken is juicy, tasty, and fresh cooked. My go-to sides are the rice and beans mix and plantains. Their Mac & cheese is some of the best Mac & cheese I’ve ever had. You must get the spicy green sauce and white sauce for the chicken. So delicious. The employees are always nice and friendly. I love having this place walking distance from my house.
